IT IS WHAT IT IS has been my most popular SLOGAN design to date. The first incarnation was a 100 x 100cm canvas I made for an exhibition in Venice Beach, California back in 2015, which apparently sold to Jennifer Love Hewitt.

I revisited the idea in 2019 for my HAVE A WORD solo show in Sheffield and made a series of hand-pulled screen prints as well as a smaller set of works on canvas - these also sold out instantly.

During lockdown I refined the artwork slightly and produced a few variations in different colourways, all of which sold overnight and although IT IS WHAT IT IS has been out of print ever since, I am regularly asked when I'll be releasing another version of the design.

I recently decided to tweak the composition once more and switch up the format for a new edition I've created in collaboration with The Framery (Sheffield) and Bicep Press (Bristol).
